Cassie is a sweet, loyal Lab mix who loves belly rubs, the beach, and her stuffed animals. She needs the right family in the right space — and she'll love you completely.

and one of a kind 🌟
Cassie came to her family as a rescue when she was just 5–8 months old, and she's been a beloved part of their world ever since. She's mostly black Lab with some poodle, doberman, and chow — which gives her a beautiful mix of playfulness, intelligence, and protectiveness.
To her family, she is an absolute teddy bear. She is deeply affectionate, endlessly loyal, and genuinely wants to please the people she loves. She lives for belly rubs — her all-time favorite — and she carries a stuffed animal with her whenever she's feeling unsure or a little needy. It's honestly one of the most endearing things about her.
She loves the ocean, the beach, splashing in water, running laps in the yard, and soaking up the sun. Rehoming her has been an incredibly difficult, heartbreaking decision for her family — and finding her exactly the right home is everything to them.
🔍 An honest note from her family
Cassie is not a good fit for a busy household or an open neighborhood. She is very territorial and goes into "protect mode" around neighbors, passersby, and other animals — she does not follow her family's energy in those moments and can become very reactive. She can also be jealous and has nipped at guests (including children) and snapped at other pets when her family is nearby. She has been working with professional trainers Matthew, Michelle, and their team — with great progress — but her new family must be committed to continuing and reinforcing those methods.
